(a) What is Potentiometer? Explain its principle and working. (5)
(b) Using zero reference point at infinity, determine the amount by which a point charge of 4.0 ×10-8C alters the electric potential at apoint1.2m away, when (a) Charge is positive (b)Charge is negative. (3)

(a) State ampere’s law and apply it to find the magnetic induction due to current in a solenoid. (5)
(b) A coil of wire has 10 loops, each loop has an eara of 1.5×10-3m2 A magnetic field is perpendicular to the surface of each loop at all time .If the magnetic field is charged from 0.5T to 0.6T in 0.15 find the average emf induced in the coil during this time. (3)
