(a) If the heights of 1000 soldiers in regiment arc normally distributed with mean of 172cm and S.D of 5cm, how many soldiers have height. Greater than 183cm. 4
(b) If X~N (0, 2 ), find P(X > 0 ) and P(0.2 <x <1.8)

(a) Find the mean of the variances of 10 samples of size 2 drawn without replacement from the population  X: 1, 2, 2, 6, 8.4
(b) A famil has 5 children with 3 boys (B) and 2girls (G) as given below:- 4

(a) A random sample of size n1 = 120 from a population yielded the sample values .X1 = 509,= 950. A random sample of size n2= 100 from another population yielded X2 = 447 and  = 876. Find 95% confidence Interval for μ1- μ2 .4
(b) A basketball player has hit on 60% of his shots from the floor. If on the next 100 shots he makes 70 baskets, would you say that his shooting has improved? Use α = 0.05.4

(b) For a set of 8 pairs of observations we have ∑x =144. ∑y = 60, Sx = Sy = 5 & ∑(x -x᷉ ) (y - y᷉) = 160 compute correlation coefficient 4
