Before his marriage, Maulvi Abut Barkat, alias Abut, used to live in comfort, even pomp. On his head he wore a light brown turban known as Mashadi Lungi, because its originally came from Mashad in Iran. The gilded tip of his cap use to shine brightly above the turban.
