- In a certain circuit, the transistor has a collector current of 10mA and a base current of 40. What is the current gain of transistor?

- What is the photoelectric effect? Derive the Einstein's photoelectric equation.
- What stress would cause a wire to increase in kinath by 0.01% if the Young's modulus of the wire is 12x1010Pa what force would produce this stress if the diameter of wire is 0.56mm.

- What do you mean by inner shell transitions? Also explain the production of x-rays.
- A sheet of lead 5.0mm thick reduces the intensity of a beam of y-rays by a factor 0.4. Find half value thick ness of lead sheet which will reduce the intensity to half of its initial value.
